Are there any changes planned for IDNR programs at JEPC in 2008? -Specifically controlled pheasant hunting.-

I am not seeking any changes.

My nephew had heard that the controlled pheasant hunting may be discontinued. He hunts there about 3X a year and loves it, so he is quite worried he may lose the opportunity.

yea alot of state wildlife places here in illinois are having to sayno to the controled phesant huntingbecause all the bad publicitythe state is getting. jepc has it up in the air right now weather they willhave it next year or not. media and anti huntersare calling it "canned hunting". if it were up to us we would keep it but its not. the big guys in springfield are the one who will be calling the shots. i wouldnt look for it much longer though even if it does stay around fornext year.sorry i couldnt have been of more help.
