Default Michigan Hunters

My neighbor was telling me a story about how his friend shot a 500lb feral pig that was charging at him. His story went like this, he was walking to his blind and heard some noises behind him, he turns around and sees this huge pig charging at him so he had to shoot it 3 times in the head before it died. Now I never saw this pig but i dont think i believe him on the 500 lb part of it lol. This was in Roscommon county by the way.

How many people have seen/shot feral pigs in Michigan and if so what county?

Feral pigs have been recognized and are in the hunting rule book. As for 500 lber, I think it would have made the news.

I'm sure while it was charging it looked even bigger than 500 lbs.

Last year there were 5 or 6 hogs spotted in the Omer area along the river. They are in Michigan for sure but I don't believe a 500lb story.

Wow 500lb!! Thats a lot of pork!! IfI took one that size I would for sure be bragging about it. I'm sure it was big but Iwould have to see it to beleive it. Anyway, isn't all you need to shoot one is a deer tag or some kind of hunting tag?
