friend of mine went out to the 1800 acre farm we have in Brown County, he was putting up stands and he found numerous rubs

I have heard of guys that bump a deer in the early season while scouting. They place their stand in the same location they saw the buck. Tagged em' the next week.
Hunt those early season rubs for sure. Stay downwind and I predict you'll get a shot at em'
