No rifle/hungun load for me either. The T/C Omega seems to do the trick out to 200 yards. Any news on what the cause of the dead deer is from?

How does that .500 shoot? If I get into the rifle hunting this would be my choice. What kind of range and groups you getting. I have a Handi in a .17HMR and it is a tack driver. I aslo have a H&R Ultra Slugger in 20 gaugeI use for gun hunting and it will shoot 1 hole groups at 50 yards with Lightfields .

Any one taking advantage of using a rifle this year? I am currently trying to decide if I should get a rifle or not. If you are going to be using one, what will you be using?
Yeah I'm goning to take advantage of it. I have a H&R Handi-Rifle in .500 S&W. I'll be using that and my inline this year.

I did some scouting down in southern IN this weekend on some of the public lands. There was a LOT of movement! Ironically we saw some moving right THROUGH the archery range in the park.

I have hunted Splinters Ridge since it opened and have never seen or heard about the archery range? There is one at Crosley.

I work at a gun shop in Kokomo and have sold quite a few .500 Handi rifles....I say use the 20ga!! Most guys arent getting the groups they want and it kicks like a mule!! You can get about 150 yards with the Hornady 300grn sst bullets but your 20ga will do the same. You may want to look into Hastings slugs for it. I had one and shot lightfields also and it was a tack driver!! Dont waste your money unless you just want something new!

I shoot Lightfields in my 12ga, but rarely use it anymore. Now it's my muzzleloader during firearm season.

I won't be able to go until next Friday. If it's warm though, I'll be golfing.
