The mass was huge on the end of it's right side main beam. Could barely get my hand around it. It green scored in the 150's..forget exactly what he said.

And here's the other deer in there. One of the larger symmetrical deer I've seen come from Indiana. Very nice deer, IMO.

Went to a local woods my family owns yesterday afternoon. Got out there at 345, really nice weather at the time. Saw some deer feeding in a field a few hundred yards out. Tipped my can over a few times, had some deer behind me in the woods...sounded as if they were working towards the field in front of me. Then all of a sudden FLASH/BOOM...lightning hit a tree or something behind me a hundred yards or so. I freaked...DAMN it was loud! The deer did the same..scattered and were gone in seconds. Then it poured on me until I got to my truck..then it let up. [>:]

BTW, someone stole my bowholder..and I think it's the guy that hunts that woods every now and then. He lives at the farm house my Great Uncle rents out. Gonna walk by his stands and see if it's in one. It better not be...

This kinda stinks already having a buck and a doe. First time i think i have ever been tagged out on a buck going into firearms season. I dont need anymore deer. But, there is no way i can sit around this house all weekend with the wife at work and not be out there. So im gonna pick up my second and final bonus tag and see if i cant find a doe to donate. I dont even know for sure that i'd take a doe this weekend even if i had the chance. Got 4 days off next week with Thanksgiving and would like to hunt then too. I just enjoy being out there. After the morning hunt im gonna swing by the shop my uncles buddy owns to see what all is brought in.

This kid that goes to my school Jennings county killed a 25 point. He was walking in from hunting and it was fighting a concreate deer in his grandmas back yard so he shoots from 70 yds hits it in the leg the concreate thing falls on it traps it then he goes up to it and smokes it wow. Ill try to get some pics up.

I'm going to assume this was with a bow since gun season hasn't started yet... 70 yards would be one hell of an unethical shot. Even if he used a gun to only be able to hit a deer in the leg means someone needs practice.

Man that sounds like a plot for a movie....

72 hrs until gun opener.....and the restless nights are already starting....good luck everyone and be safe.

Anyone here about this yet? I just got these pics in an email from a co worker, no way to verify it but damn that one is huge. Here is the txt of the email I got, there are more pics I can post, but these two showed most of the deer.

from email:

These deer were found in the water at Chain-O-Lakes Park this weekend. I heard that the larger one green scored around 180 Boone & Crockett
