Default KS 2003 Deer application period?

When is the application period for deer tags in Kansas for 2003. I've only bought hunt your own land tags in the past but am thinking about applying for a tag first. If I don't get it then I'll buy a hunt your own land. Also, how good is the hunting for the early muzzleloader season in Sept?

Thx,
clattin

They say hunting will be horrible from now until 2008 here in Kansas, so you're better off hunting elsewhere! No need to waste your hard earned money chasing ghost bucks when you can go to MI or TX and find yourself a dandy!!! <img src=icon_smile_evil.gif border=0 align=middle>

I don't know when the application period is. I always go over the counter too. Muzzeloader season is sure some different hunting. The deer are still in their summer patterns, and even still a few bucks in velvet. And the weather a lot of the times is in the 80's and sometimes more. But there I see a few guys every year who muzzeloader hunt only. There is practically no pressure(around her anyways) you're able to hunt before anyone else does.

I believe the deadline last year was June 1st. And like, Kshunter said, the easrly season is definate summer pattern hunting.
