I know a 22 can kill, but the chances of it are very slim. Even if someone was hit by one the damage would be small. Some deer rifles don't need to kill, they could take a limb easily, and some can do it at long distances. A 22 would loose much of it's punch. You can't use a 30-30 here to hunt squirrels.

Not sure if I'd want public schools to teach firearms use. Good idea. Not sure they are up to it.

They can't even teach the basics (SAT scores down an avg of 7 points across the nation) in schools.

my point was we have rifles in the woods now. And if it loses so much power then let some one shoot you at 300 yards i think not but i know that some if the shots at squirrels and stuff have no background that was me true point.

You can use any gun you want to hunt any animal except deer, turkey, and migratory birds. If you wanted to tame your 300 win mag out and shoot quail you could.

Heck, if you want to use a 7mm for deer, do it. Doesn't stop the hilljacks in my neck of the woods. [>:]
