Best place to get alot of info is the IDNR website. Go to hunting and then state parks and do a search. it goes to acrobat adobe to give you maps that aren't bad to print and use. Gives all related site info.
Siloam is like 2000 hunting acres out by Adams county and has good quantity and quality of deer out there. Your time slot should be the first group of bow hunters in for this year, right? That may have advantages - or not. Last time we were out there we camped on site and they had good hot showers there and electric, too. I don't know how fast it could fill this year but I know it's first come - first serve. Maybe call and ask site supervisor or something if you're gonna be "using the facilities" so to speak. LOL
Panther Creek is ALOT bigger hunting area taht also has good quantity and quality of deer. Camping is same there but does have some real bargin cabins, too. Again I'd call site super for inside knowledge.
Maybe shoot a PM to Dairy King - I think he doesn't live to fare from there and might be able to tell you more than me.
Good hunting and I guess.....welcome to Illinois.

My friend, You drew the asian beetle season. Highly recommendcamping only ifit is cold, or you have a very contained hard sided camper. Otherwise they will infest everything you own. They probably will anyway. The better hunt will be the JEPC draw. JEPC campgrounds are great if it weren't for the beetles.

No beetles!? You gotta be crappin me. Did you stay in the campgrounds? When I was there in the 2nd draw 2004 it was literally raining beetles mid day. It was near 70 degrees. I got about400 in my pop-up camper overnight. The hunting sucked so I packed up and left. Got bit 5-6 times while folding up my rig. After that I gave up on JEPC in favor of a better property closer by. Now that I will be getting my IL LL I may drop by down there occasionally, if it's cold.
