Does anyone here who hunts minnesota know if the rut is still on? I wanna get out muzzleloading and try rattling. I've never really rattled but I'm going to be hunting an area where there is a huge NT hanging around, just not sure what the best strategy to bring him in is.If the rut is still on, rattling seems like a logical choicebut any input would be greatly appreciated. the rut has been done in WI for a couple weeks now

I had 17 deer in my field 2 nights ago including several bucks. Did not see any of them going after any does. I imagine there may be a doe or two around that didn't "take" during rut, that could get a buck going, but I believe the bucks are worn out and not interested in fighting, so I would'nt rattle. I'd try an attractant or estrus scent instead. Taz

I've seen more rut activity in the last three days than I saw all deer season!

Didn't see any sign of it all during the season where we hunt.... except for this guy, seems to be a bit swollen....
