i haven't seen anythin yet nor i dought i will,,we dont see many big buck on the property we hunt,,er at least i dont,,my dad does and so does the landowners,,But my dad did say that he has seen big bucks chasin does up by where he works near dennison

Well i put some tinks 69 out this weekend and had2 P&Y's and and an 8 point that will probably go and 140's sad to say i missed a ten point at 35yards.....but hey we all miss.[:-]

haven't been out in since last weekend. although i went and watched some bucks and have heard of lots of people seeing bucks chasing does. big boys and basket racks. lots of people have been rattling and haveing good success. going out this weekend to try and top my 130" of this year.

i dont think the "rut" has started yet. usually bucks wont hang around in tight groups once it does. i saw 3 bucks literally walking the crick together fri night and were not rutting what so ever. i did however get my first bow deer sat night an hour before dark. a little doe from about 9 yards away. i think the rut will be in full swing the time shotgun season starts a week from this fri. most of the people i talk to believe the same thing and also havent seen the bucks tending the does yet. i think most of you are just seein the false rut but i could be wrong. right now its the pre-rut IMO but it is about the time to start hunting constantly, i will anyways.

I let a 6 pt basket rack walk last night, he wasn't in a hurry, poking along after a little doe. Let em slip on by. Saw four does today, but no more bucks. Then driving home from Quincy tonight around 10:00 PM, there was a nice one in the bean field just North of the farm. That's the first in a week now, I hope it gets colder real soon.

I hunt everyday and yesterday was the first shooter buck rut activity that I've seen. saw a 135 8 pt and 145 10 pt chase a doe from 8:30 to 9:10 and had 250 pounder in my yard at high noon! thursday looks to be the best day this week

today wed. the weather was cooler than it has been and I saw several small bucks chasing does and one good shooter at dark checking does in the corn field but not chasing just checking...Tonight it is supposed to be 30* and high of 52* tomm. so Thursday should be great...I'm planning on sitting all day...6a-520p....
