Ok I don't like the new system but who ever checked to see how your deer was killed before.....I took mine to the local gas station and some teenage girl behind the counter comes out and looks to see if it is a doe or buck and hands me the tag to put on it....Not much different now is it???

I am predicting that their will be folks who will not properly report their harvests and this will lead the state to believe over the next (about) 2 seasons that there are not enough deer being harvested. Instead of doing an accurate population survey (Gov Goblow won't see spending the $$$ as nec.), there will be more and more permits issued to try to take the imaginary out-of-control population down.
We need to go by this new system guys, as stupid as it seems, it's the only chance we have at some sort of herd management, and management of the herd is so very, very important. I urge everyone to follow the system and ENCOURAGE others to do the same for the reason above.
See in the future, when and if deer hunting goes downhill in IL, it will have all started with misuse of this new system. I'm going to do my part to see it doesn't happen. Everyone who harvests in our party will be reporting or not coming back next year.
