I made it out Sunday afternoon and it felt so good to be alone and unwind.
Oh yeah I did see a doe with her fawn about 06:40. I tried to use my digital camera's video function to record them but it wasnt bright enough out. This
first hunt of the season has started the fire I was afraid I wasnt going to have this year. How was your opening hunt?

it went great for me. saw lots of deer and even had a shot at a 130" 8 point buck sunday afternoon.

well i didnt get to go saturday, but sunday morning i shot at a big doe and hit a branch that deflected the arrow over her back. o well tonight i stuck a differnt one instead.

Mine went really well. I shot a doe Saturday morning, one Saturday night and one on Monday night. I don't hunt on Sundays, and Monday morning it rained.
Did not see any bucks though! So hopefully that will change. I needed to get some meat in the freezer anyway.

I got out Sat, Sun, Mon and Tuesday! I had deer under my stand on Tuesday morning, no shot ops! Going out again on Friday morning!
