Default Hot Day on the Kask

You may be seeing a trend here. Brother Marty and I spent a brutally HOT day on the Kaskaskia River below Carlyle and though the fishing was only fair, we boated about 25, 5 Silvers, 8 Biggies, the rest short nose and spotted gar. We had to stop mid day and work on his boat trailer since a lower bunk rail on his trailer was broken in two. (Just try and find a simple treated 8 ft 2 x 4 around Carlyle on a Sunday afternoon. Ha) Anyway, some of the shortnose and spotted did carry some heft and as always had a great time with Mr. Carlyle himself.

Oh and Christine, do we have any more of our Illinois Bowfishers hats left over that are similar to the one below as this one has seen its time in the sun.
