My father and I went to a few spots along the Illinois river today and we shot a few nice fish. I started the day with a 15lb Silver Carp. After that we shot several 5-8 pound Silvers along with a few gar. As we were shooting a barge passed by and the silvers started to jump. My first shot on a airborn silver landed. I had my first airborn silver. That was a cool feeling.We took a short drive to a different spot and I shot a few more silvers, a nice grassie and a 14lb Bighead. My dad got a few nice size gar.Altogether it was a good day of bowfishing.

Yeh we'll have to get together and air out some fish, sounds good..Give me the dates your off and we will try and work it out, my work schedule depends on weather..

Thanks Carpsniper it was a pretty cool feeling getting that first one. Opel I am off through the 20th but I am leaving Friday evening to go on a floating/camping trip. I plan on going bowfishing 1 or 2 of the days this week. So If you are off let me know and we can meet up somewhere.
