What all do we need for Bowfishing?
We have
Trolling Motor
Batteries for Trolling Motor & Outboard
Lights-Finishing them....
Fish Finder- Its on the boat and we don't want to mess with it
What else do I need?
Anyone have a generator they aren't using??
Also do you think we should put a CB on their incase our Phonesaren't working??

Menards has a Wen generator for less than $300 I think. I doubt anyone has an extra laying around, unless one of your friends fathers has one you can borrow for the night. But you have to be real careful running your lights and stuff for it. You don't want to electrocute yourself, and you don't want it grounding into the water and shorting out the genny.
Make sure your boat is safe and up to USCG-standards. I.E. fire extinguisher, loud horn or whistle, life jackets for everyone in the boat, navigational lights, etc.

The boat is #1. Make sure it is safe, legaland ready as Steve said...
Dont worry about the fish finder. That is wht your eyes are for.
IMO if you have a depth/fish finder on it tends to spook the fish. JMO.
My cell worked pretty well last year.

ok..just got off the phone with the owner and he said it was up to date and eveything needed is already on there!
Now anymore inputs?
I'm using old Semi-Truck Halogen Lights....running to a Truck Battery.
I will have 3 Headlights on one side going to one battery and the same thing on the other side.
I will have2 Electric Halogen lights on the very front and 2 others mounted somewhere

Are you going to have 10 lights on 2 batteries, or am I reading this wrong?
With D.C.-current, you're going to need heavy wire, like 10-gauge. And your switches just can't be any old switches; they have to be rated for D.C.-current. Otherwise they'll melt and end your night way early. If I were going with a D.C. setup, I think I would have 1 battery for every 2 lights. 2 on the front and 2 on each side. That's 6, so 3 batteries. I wouldn't put too much more than that in a boat, especially since you need the starting battery for the motor, and at least one battery for your troller. That's 5 12-volt batteries right there, and I like to have 2 just for my troller. I run them in series (positive to positive, negative to negative gets you 12-volts and alot more time on your troller), unless I have a 24-volt troller. Then it's pos. to neg for 24.
How big is your boat?

You can always bring extra stuff and just leave it in the truck at the parking lot.
Let us know what you've left behind in the truckby the way so we can help ourselves.......I mean remind you of what you've brought later.
