Listen up Troops.

Go forth and shoot fish!

We're 113 fish away from the 3K mark for the year. The carp are calling.

Fishpoint and I are going de-carping on Monday morning, but I may get out before then too if the weather breaks. We've got showers expected for most of the day Sat and Sun.

KBI-Prez, mr. extreme and I took a trip out on the wabash yesterday. After trying to tear my motor off the boat, we only boated one lonley buffalo. KBI had a huge buff pull off right at the boat, and i had a gar pull off. Mr. extreme had to show us how to boat one pretty nice at 7#5oz. We needed some sun to see. Will try and get out again weather permitting.

Drew and I decided to hit Evergreen last night. We took a newbie out named Barry. Barry is a former intern and current maintenance man for the park. We saw lots of fish and ended up sticking 13 commons and 2 quillbacks.

We also ran into CIRFCU. Hope ya guys did good!

Mikey

He's not kiddin' they ran right into us!

Looks like you guys must've done pretty good after we saw you.

I know it's hard to believe, but the CIRFCU didn't boat a single quillback!!! [:-]There are however two quillys with severe holes through them.

Memorial weekend was not the best weekend to go camping! My family and I went out to Dawson and camped from Thursday till today. I think I got a total of 5 hours in the boat at night. The rain had put a damper on just about everything. I did however end up taking 6 commons; the largest being 13 lbs on the dot. I took my boys (7 and 5) and wife out with me last night. My boys were mezmorized at the sport.....Now all I have to do is set up thier Genisis's with a reel! I asked my 7 year old what the best part of the camping trip was and he said "Watching you hunt the fish daddy" .....Boy am I proud or what?

I also did a little "artsy carp" photo...

That's so cool Ken. Gotta love those specialmoments with the kids.

Fishpoint and I banged on the buffs pretty hard this morning (since we had orders from the Pres ). Brought in 30 Buffs and 9 carp in 3 hours at theDes Plaines Conservation Area, and Fishpoint was shooting from the bank the whole time.
