I'm glad to hear that Lake Spfld is open, I've been wanting to shoot there. David has been scouting and shooting a bit and we're gonna meet on Monday AM and see what we find. I may have to get a lake sticker for my boat. Lake Spfld has carp, gar and buffs.[8D]

I have been bowfishing Lake Springfield all month. Lots of gar. Shot a 30'" female this morning. Biggest carp so far is about 10lbs. I don't have a boat so I'm stuck with shore fishing and wading. Shot 3 gar with one shot this morning. The males were stacked up on one female, shot into the pile and came up with 3. Did the same thing with 2 spawning carp, shot once and came up with 2 fish. I have a little bit of time comming up soon and would like to get into something big like bighead or big buffalo. I don't have a boat or much knowledge about any good bowfishing locations. I would be willing to help out with gas and food If anyone needs a shooting partner for a couple of days.

I'm going to try to get on Springfield this weekend at some point. Plans are very up in the air right now, but I've gotta get on the lake somewhere. Sangcrist, Springfield, Shelbyville, who knows.

This is my daughter's fist bow kill. She shot 8 times all just missing by inches. She connected with this one just minutes before we had to leave. I have never seen her so excited. She is only 7 1/2 years old. The gar is 24".

Congrads to Sarah on her 1st Fish. I hope she shoot many more.She can shoot on my boat anytime. I do have a partner lined up for you in the State Shoot. Just hope you can shoot as good as your daughter!
