Nice. Let me know how it shoots.

(of course next you'll be putting wheels on the ends of the limbs. Slippery slope, slippery slope. )

No doubt. I'm a pair of Limbsavers and one finger sling away from a crossbow.

I'm not quite ready to get my new baby all full of carp goo.
Aw c'mon. You know a new bow isn't properly broken in until it's encrusted with dried carp eggs and fish blood. I dirtied up my new Samick within 48 hours of getting it by mail.

Sharp looking bow. Can't really blame ya.
See you on the first.
We'll miss you Mark. Next time, eh?

That's a nice looking bow there Jason, but I like the ones you made better.

I won't be making this shoot either. I had a job scheduled for this weekend that got moved to next. This sucks, cause I haven't shot fish with Jason, Judd or Dr. Rob before, and this would be a great place to do it. Plus, lunch time would be great. When's the last time we got a chance to sit and BS together?

Hope you guys have fun, and take lots of pictures.

Remember, those steaks are best RARE!! A little season-salt, some garlic powder......MMMMM!

The DPCA backwaters were pretty good at the Icebreaker 10 days ago.
You could see 2 feet down in the best spots with weeds for a backdrop to make fish spotting easy. Definitely better than Clinton was at the First Fish Challange.

The main reasonis that the waters are differently structured. Clinton is an impoundment that gets runoff from lots of farmland to the North and East making it murky with silt. The Kankakee backwaters are mainly an overflow for the main river and don't see too much runoff.

This is a good place for early season shoots when the spring rains are making a mess of other lakes and rivers.

Sorry to hear you won't make it Steve. Work first, play later.
See you at Billy Davis Memorial at Rend in April if not before.

Glad to hear you'll be there Judd (Fishpoint). I'll drag you back out to Buffalo City again a bit later when the fish are up, but this will be a good start for your season. You'll like the Retriever since it's so light. That's what's on my new bow right now too.

Might have some other bowhunters from the area stop by too. They 'used to bowfish', and are excited about having a new spot to go.
