Default Illinois River Carp

We took Drew and Mikey out onto the Illinois last night. We were looking for bigheads and silvers.

I'm not sure.. but I think Mikey and Drew might have had some fun.

Here's a picture of Mikey with the smallest silver of the night. He shot fish just a tad bit bigger than this one. (this was a volunteer)

Here's drew withhis firstsilver, shot out of the air! Nice job Drew.

Notice how nice and clean drew is in that above picture. (early in the night)

Here's Drew posing with his 13lb 5oz silver carp. Note the increase in carp goo on him. [8D]

Here's Kendall with an 18lb hybrid. I think it's a gas-electric hybrid.... or perhaps a silver/bighead hybrid.

It has a head more like a bighead but not completely.. It jumped like a silver and it's colored like a silver. [:-]

Note the carp print on his pant leg.

We lost a lot of silvers due to pull offs but we ended up with 23* silvers, 2 grass carp, 2 buffalo and 2 shad in the barrel.(Mikey was ourtrick shad shooter )

*I'm adding two more silvers that I just had to dig out from the above the pontoons but below the deck. Somehow they mangaged to get up in there. They were good sized fish too. Since I had to root around and pull them out... I'm counting them. (at least I found them now, they'd be oozing out in a couple of days) [:'(]

Very cool.
Nice job.

they'd be oozing out in a couple of days) [:'(]
I left a few fish in my barrel out behind the garage and forgot about them for a couple of days once. I came back to a VERY nasty pile of maggots slithering around on what used to be carp. Even my dog didn't want to smell it, and he sniffs EVERYTHING...twice.
