Hunt north of Duluth on public and private land. Bear-Down Outfitters and Guide Service can set you up on active baits. There are a large numbers of bear in our two zones and tags should be available even after the drawing. Our hunting camp is clean and comfortable and there will be plenty of food.
If you get your bear early we can offer excellent fishing opportunities as well. Fishing for walleye, northern pike and pan fish on area lakes will help you enjoy the rest of your stay.

How do your average clients do? % wise and size.

The bears usually run from 150 to 250 with a few 300 lbs taken each year. They have two zones that they hunt in and their camp and property is in one zone which keeps the numbers of hunters down. Shot opportunities are in the 90 % area for both bow and rifle hunts.
Right now there are still some openings for the third and fourth week of September. The first two weeks are booked, mostly from some guys from Texas that have hunter here the last three years.
