Default Trophy Hunting in Russia

Trophy hunting in Russia is the last great adventure on Earth

Unlike other hunting destinations around the globe, Russia is a country where you can find enormous swathes of pristine, unspoiled, virgin wilderness in which man has never set foot. That wilderness, moreover, is replete with some of the most spectacular big-game hunting, fishing, and bird trophies nature has to offer. It is, we can say without fear of contradiction, every big-game hunter and trophy hunter’s dream and the true ‘last frontier’ of hunting.

If you are serious and passionate about big-game hunting or are a bird collector, fishing enthusiast or avid adventurer, then you owe it to yourself to come and enjoy the best and most exhilarating experience our planet has to offer in each of the above activities.
Take it from me, Sergei Shushunov, a man who has hunted in Russia and its neighboring countries since 1975 and a hunter who has dedicated his life to exploring this unique terrain from top to tail and sharing those experiences with fellow hunters since 1990 through Russian Hunting Agency LLC.

Season dates: August 10 – December 3
Hunting method: Spot and stock
Accommodations: Cabins, electric generator, satellite phone, radio

Price: $27,000

Kyrgyzstan argali is on average smaller than Tajikistan. However, trophies well over 50 inches and up to 60 are not unusual. A car ride from Bishkek to the hunting area takes about 7 hours. Base camp is located at 3,200 meters (10,500 ft.) above the sea level. The camp has warm cabins, an indoor toilet, running water and electricity from the generator. There is a satellite phone for emergencies. Hunting takes place at altitudes of 3,000 – 4,000 meters (9,500 – 12,500 ft.) and requires good physical endurance. Hunters should expect to spend up to 6-8 hours per day riding horses. Daytime temperature is around +10C (+50F) in the fall and –20C (-4F) in the winter, at night it can drop to -40C (-40F). Hunters are required to bring sleeping bags, camo clothes according to the season, sunglasses, spotting scope, binoculars, and sunscreen. Shots are expected within 300-600 yards range, therefore flat shooting rifle with good optics and a range finder are necessary.
