I have some incredible do it yourself high country wilderness pack in hunts available during the 2nd and 3rd rifle seasons here in Colorado, with tags being available over the counter for both seasons. This is a classic western style hunt where you are packed into the high country via horseback to a fully set up wall tent camp, complete with everything you will need during your hunt. You are checked on regularly and anything that you have harvested will be packed out from the kill site. Complete orientation of the area you will be hunting and expert advice on where the hot spots are. Cost is 1400.00 per person plus the cost of the tag. The area of Colorado where this hunt is conducted is very well known for harboring one of the largest elk herds in the west.
