We have two spots open for Desert Mule Deer hunts on 25,000 acres of pristine private ranch land for this upcoming 2009-10 season from mid-December to early February. This is your perfect opportunity to hunt a trophy mule deer at an affordable price!!!

We own a large property in the Sonora, Mexico region and we have some of the biggest Desert Mule Deer around. We will host 2 hunters and will provide local tracking guides with expertise at finding these big, mystical Mule Deer in their desert habitat during the course of the hunts.

All hunts will be based out of a very comfortable and accommodating ranch house. The ranches offer limited topography for effective glassing, extensive roads systems, and permanent water sources. This ranch has been in our family for over 100 years and we have only recently allowed commercial hunting. You will be the only hunter on our 25,000 acre property during your trip. We have worked to protect the deer populations on our land to sustain trophy quality animals and are only allowing 4 bucks to be taken the entire year. We will offer a combination of hunting methods during the course of a hunt to improve your chance of taking a dream buck. We have off-road trucks with hunting racks and horses to hunt on horseback in the more inaccessible areas. The Sonoran desert habitat is open in places and is conducive to glassing from high-points. The hunts would be guided with a 1 on 1 ratio.

Schedule:
Sat-Arrive at a meeting point and travel to local town to stay overnight at hotel
Sun-Leave for Rancho El Vado in the afternoon to prepare for hunting the next day
Mon through Fri-Hunt at the Rancho El Vado all week and leave Friday night for hotel in local town
Sat - Depart to a meeting point to return home with your trophy.

Only $6495.00 is the all inclusive price for this great hunt!!!
License fees, gun permits, lodging, food, all drinks including alcoholic beverages, caping, paperwork, roundtrip transportation to and from meeting point are all Included. You simply need to provide transportation to one of our meeting points and tips for the staff.

Hermosillo International (HMO - about a 2.5 hour drive),
Tucson Airport (TUS - about a 3 hour drive)
Phoenix Airport (PHO – about a 4 hour drive)
If the hunter is in California we can pick them up at the border in Calexico, CA (about a 4 hour drive)


$2000.00 initial deposit is needed:
On receipt of deposit, hunter(s) will be given their choice of hunt dates. Hunter(s) that choose to cancel their hunt will either forward their deposit toward a replacement hunter or forfeit the deposit for costs accrued. The remaining balance of the hunt cost is due 2 weeks prior to the departing date to Mexico for the hunt. It is suggested that each hunter tip the cook(s) and cowboy guide for their good service and hard work.

FIREARMS:
We will apply for Firearm Transportation Permits (FTP) for Mexico in November prior to the season. Each FTP allows for the registration of (2) firearms and 50 rounds of ammunition per firearm with caliber restrictions of .30 or less. We recommend rifles of .270 caliber or larger for the hunts sighted in for a 300 yard zero.

If you get your trophy early and finish your hunt in the first couple of days there is also Javelina hunting and deep sea fishing in the Sea of Cortez available.
