value of hunters cabin
I own a small one-room log cabin that my father used to use for hunting. I wish to sell it and wonder if you may be able to give me a ball park guess as to what cabins like this might sell for. It is located very near Echo Lake in Smithville N, near Greene NY. It is well-maintained and has an acre of land with it, There is a nearby well and has an outhouse. It does have electricity.

RE: value of hunters cabin
value can vary,
land up itself can go for as little as a couple thousand to many thousands
depending on location, views, etc...
as for the cabin it be worth nothing or many thousands,
as comparison a small log cabin can be built for as little as $10K
or can cost +$50K
without knowing details would sya on the lowend would be worth $10K-$20K
on the high end $20K-$50K,
hard to tell without seeing pics or knowing the lot

I'd think twice before sellling a piece like that ..
You'll regret it in the future.. Instead maybe fix it up and start renting it
it out..for a fee...

the idea of renting it out is a good one, tho why on earth would I regret selling it..?

The money you get whether its $20K or $100K,
might be easier to come by, than a cabin such as that,
its more of a personal reason, and also depends on your finances, and how you value the property,
i have property that has more sentimental value than financial value,
i also have property i purchased for strictly financial reasons,

oh I see what you mean. If it were just me I'd consider keeping it; problem is my my wife enjoys the "outdoors" life about as much as she enjoys a wasp sting. For her camping out is staying at a Holiday Inn instead of the Waldorf

Can relate,
my fiance is a city girl,
who likes to look at the outdoors through a window in an air conditioned room,
but she would never take away my joys,
heck she has slept in a tent with me, after i took everything out, checked for bugs, sprayed, checked for bugs again, put everything back, checked for bugs again,
