Need some info
I'm looking into purchasing a backpack for hunting and I'm wondering what other have and like. I'm also looking into buying a berber fleece vest and wondering whether or not to get windstopper in it. Any info and opinions would be appreciated.

RE: Need some info
i don't need a back pack. i use a fanny pack to carry all i need. most of my hunts are close to home. unless your going away for a few days i would only buy a fanny, but you can find a ruck sack fom a army surplus store and it works fine for me when i do go on a long hunt.its cheap and it has plenty of space for your gear.

I would have to agree with the fanny pack idea. Unless you are heading out for more than a day or so, the ideal item would be the FP.
compact and easy to move around in, and creates minimal noise. And being that you can buy veriety to choose from you should be able to find one custom for your needs. Back packs are good for multiple days, long range scouting or stocking as you can use it for a personal rest or a rest for a steady shot. Hope this helps.

I use the Black's Creek Guide Gear Day Bag. It has a pocket for my 70 ounce Camelback Bladder. This is important where I hunt in Washington State. I have a great fanny pack but I hunt too far from camp for it to be adequate or provide the equipment and material I need.
