Am buying my wife some more gear for an upcoming hunting trip. Only what we bought is not in her inseam. Its goretex insulated bibs from Bass Pro. I need to get it shortened but have no clue as to what to do to make sure it stays waterproof for Alaska.
We probably need to put in a shorter zipper in the legs and move snaps around or sew on Velcro. But how will that affect the waterproofing if at all?
I don['t have a clue who to ask.

Any good seamstress can make the modifications-I had to do this with a pair for my son-I just asked the seamstress to 'match' the stitch done at the cuff of the bibs. We went with velcro so we wouldn't have to tear the seam any further and it would be easier for him to get out of when he was done. Good luck
