RE: Cabela's or Basspro
I have a Bass Pro 25 minutes from the house, Gander Mtn 30 minutes and Cabelas 40 minutes away...
Bass Pro, is as always reliable, prices in line with the catalog, merchandise as shown in the catalog, friendly/helpful sales staff... will continue to visit the store and buy from the catalog...
GM, a pillar of the community...
Cabelas, the bargain den was no bargain at all, hardly anything in the store they have in the catalog as far as brands and styles, the redeeming factor was the displays of mounts etc, made the trip worthwhile... will not go out of my way to visit the store again, but will continue my association with the mail order side of the operation...

RE: Cabela's or Basspro
I got a letter from Cabelas the other day that said someone had tried to use my Cabelas Visa and they caught them and were dealing with it. They were sending me a new card. THat made me feel good that someone is looking out for me.
