I've shopped the catalog return store in Springfield too. Lots of things are a lot cheaper than regular price. Cabelas lets you browse the "Bargain Cave" of returned items online. Do you know if Bass Pro does too? I got a bow case there for about half price and couldnt find a thing wrong w/ it. I'd like to get another, but dont want to have to drive 400 miles to do it.
I like to hit the Bass Pro catalog returns store in Springfield...many a steal there. But...I use both.

I haven't seen anything online that translates to what is in the catalog returns store in Springfield. I would add that if you buy a fishing rod or reel be very careful. They sell retipped rods next to return rods so bring a tape measure and check that the stated length is correct. Also play with the reel long enough to be sure it's good. That said I have gotten many good rods and reels there for a fraction of the price. Shoes and boots are also very good there. I picked up their 200 dollar kangaroo hunting boots for 90 bucks, brand new. But I admit, I wear an 11 and it is a real hit or miss deal on the shoes which is why I pull in whenever I'm down there. For you that doesn't help but I'm only an hour away.
