im in-between this and the viper xls stand they both have the same characteristics just needed some opionions on teh grand slam this will be MY first climber i have used them before and have a very old summit in the shed just want a good stand THANKS

I have the grand slam super magnum supreme. I'm a big guy 290#'s+ and wanted the added security. I love mine---it is extremely comfortable and easy to climb with. I added the shoting rail which was a great addition.

It is a bit heavy and cumbersome---but I don't carry mine much over 1/4 mile. It looks to me like the Summit might be a bit easier to set up---but I have no problems getting the API set up either. I can arrive at my tree and be up and ready to shoot in less than 10 minutes.

For me--a 6'5" heavy weight---it was the only choice and I have absolutley no regrets. Will buy another one should something happen to this one.
