I've had a Garmin GPS ll plus for eight years now. It still works great. However, I'm going to buy Garmin's GPS 60CS in a couple of weeks. It has just about every feature (some unnecessary) that a gps can have. Including maps, electronic compass, WAAS,etc. It is light weight too.
The only downside is the price, but I want it.

I bought a Garmin a few years back. It worked for about a year, after that it never was able to "find" itself. Stays in the "searching" mode. Garmin wanted $75 to fix it. I won't buy another Garmin.

I have a few different Garmin units, I've used other types in the past. Garmin is the only way to go when it comes to GPS units. Nothing compares in quality, I have 29 units but only use 6-7 on a regular basis. Most were given to me.

I've got a Garmin GPS III+. I've had it for about 5 years now and have never ever had a bit of trouble with it. The best feature about it is the ability to download topo's from anywhere in the US. This really comes in handy, especially when hunting new areas for the first time.

I have a Garmin eTrex Camo that works well. Had it for about a year. Paid a little over $110 for it. I also got an optional download cable and I can download all my tracks and waypoints to my topo software (DeLorme's Topo USA). to create customized maps. It took a little coaxing to set up the first time, but now it works great (the eTrex to PC downloading).
