Leupold, Rifleman or VX I
I have an older VX II 2-7x33, how would the Rifleman or VX I compare to the VX II. Obviously they are the lower end of the product line but what are some of your opinions on these scopes and is there a preference. I'm in the market for another scope for a hunting rifle and the eye relief between the two is identical. All input appreciated, thanks, Rick.

RE: Leupold, Rifleman or VX I
I was at Cabela’s a couple of weekends ago and was comparing the VX-I 4-12 x 40mm to the Rifleman 4-12 x 40mm. I couldn’t see much difference looking at the 2 scopes side by side in the store and they both looked identical to me, so I ended up picking the VX-I for $20.00 more and probably a little better quality.
After bringing it home, I started comparing it to other scopes I have and found the FOV was not quite enough for me and I was also having problems focusing when I turned it up to 12x. I’m returning the VX-I for the VX-II 3-9 x 50mm and $80.00 more. . They are all good quality scopes but for me I would rather pay a little more and get the higher quality scopes.
