RE: Garmin MapSource loading problem
I'm not real knowledgeable about the subject, but I haven't had any problem downloading topo maps into my e- trex vista. Do you have enough MB of memery to get all the detail?

RE: Garmin MapSource loading problem
I am not that familiar with that unit either, but under your main menu, do you have something there called database, if so, click on it, your downloaded map might be showing there. that is the way it is on my Magellan sportrak. also just wanted to let you know i sent an email to garmin on this subject, will let you know what they say as soon as i get a reply. couple more things, i think that unit can be set for land or water? you might try changing that around. also, need to know what version of software your unit has in it. oh, zoom in further on the map also, sometimes at certain levels it skips some map detail.

RE: Garmin MapSource loading problem
Grayowl, this is the reply i got back from them, hope it helps.
Thank you for contacting GARMIN.
Please check under the map setup that the maps did get to your unit. This
is found by going to the information box(the one next to the x in the top
right corner) and pressing down on the click stick. Go to the i box and
verify the maps are listed there and have a check mark by them. You can set
all the different settings under the map setup by going to the different
areas there. If you need help downloading the maps I have attached a short
video to this e-mail you can view. It can also be found on our website at
http://www.garmin.com/cartography/ma...eTutorial.html
