You should pick one of these products..
  • Marmot Minimalist ($189) ...
  • Outdoor Research Helium II ($159) ...
  • Patagonia Torrentshell ($129) ...
  • The North Face Venture 2 ($99)

Have you considered a decent pair of waterproof pants and a poncho? With a poncho, you can wear layers of clothing on your upper body so you don't over heat and also keep your rifle or shotgun reasonably dry. Most game won't be moving during the rain so you'll likely be sitting it out someplace as well. Then when the rain stops, you can shed the poncho and hunt in your regular clothes along with your waterproof pants.

I came a cross a poncho that appears to be a piece of army surplus. Very heavy duty, and ones like it go $50 or less. (this one has a camo pattern). It's great for what elkman is suggesting.

Consider checking out any military surplus stores in your area. They may have some rain gear and milspec clothing is usually high quality. Also look for military surplus clothing made from wool. Decent wool clothing should handle a bit of rain without loosing its ability to keep you war.

Ditto. I'd rather spend my time helping somebody who actually wants the help.

Thanks for the recommendation! I was looking for something cheap and I will consider these options first.
