For a 22 rim fire you don't need to even spend 100.00 for a scope, unless you want the snob appeal.
Tasco 3x9 at Wal Mart 35.00
Bushnell banner 3x16 at Wal Mart 99.00
Bushnell Banner 3x9 Wal Mart 80.00
These will work fine on a 22 rim fire and the Bushnell's I would not be afraid to use on some low recoil center fire rifles.
