I'd like to transition to 3d archery,what bow would you suggest and I'd like something that I could use long term.

That would all depend on what type of 3D archery you would like to get into. AMO and IBO being the leaders and then you have traditional,hunting compound, competitive compound. Different rules and equipment for all.
