I don' t care for the metal mesh-type bottom on the Hunters View. I was looking at one in a crowded store a few years ago & I could hear the mesh vibrating over the background noise as we were moving it around & checking it out. I was going to get one because of the price but I waited another year & bought a Summit. Couldn' t be happier with my choice.

Hey Sqrl Klr, those Hunter' s View stands aren' t too bad. My brother picked up one fo this season at Walmart for $98 ! It' s doing it' s job so far after a week in the field but I question it' s long-term use. I' m not sure it' ll hold up for more than a few seasons. We' ll see.

i too have a summit viper xls and i love it! i had a summit sabre for 3 years, got my viper last year. its light, strong and quiet, everything youre looking for in a stand. i expect to get many years out of it. paid 239.99 at galyans, worth every penny! good luck
