I' m in the market for an ATV. I will most likely buy a 2wd. I' m just not willing to make the BIG jump in money difference to a 4wd. I' m interested in the Beartracker. I like the size of it. I haven' t drove one yet, but I have drove a Recon and a Kawasaki Bayou 250. The Recon seemed to have a little more power than the Bayou, but the Recon left me with a tight grip to stay on the bike. How is the ride of the Beartracker? Which one does the best in snow??? I' ve seen some 2wd do just fine in fresh snow, and others that were worthless.
I' m going to plan on using this ATV to hunt, and play around with.
I' m also thinking about looking at the Suzuki Ozark.

I had the Bayou 250. But not to long after riding it the brakes pretty much quit working. I think its the only one without hydraulic front brakes. I' ve also riden the Ozark and in my opion it was so much better than the Bayou.

I own a timberwolf (its the older version of the beartracker). It is a 2WD 250 and works very well and the turning radius is great. I don' t know how it works in snow. It sits higher than any other 250 and has plenty of power (I only weigh 155lbs). The 4wd version of this 250 is called the timberwolf and the only difference is that it cost about about $1,000 more.

I had a 2002 model that I have sold and regret it. The Beartracker did everything I needed it to do for the two seasons that I used it. It is light enough that it' s not much trouble to pick it up and move it if you happen to find yourself hung up on a log or stump, or find a mudhole that it can' t handle. Only had it in about six inches of snow once and had a ball with it.

I have a 99' bear tracker and it has done just fine for me. Haven' t had it in the snow though. It is a good riding atv. I wouldnt hesitate to get the Bayou 220, they are good 4 wheelers also for the money.
