I own a Yamaha Timberwolf 2wd and it is the best ATV for the money because it starts when I need it to, handles easy, can be thrown out of the mud if stuck, it is paid for, and I can' t afford a newer or larger one.

I' ve had a Honda for three years now without a lick of trouble. My buddies Yamaha has been in the shop twice, and my other hunting buddy just bought a Polaris 700 and it wouldnt start when he brought it home, it still hasn' t seen the woods

I have no problems with the Polaris ATVs, they' re reasonably priced, they have great suspension, they look good, and are easily pulled behind any Honda or Yamaha!................and I love the plastic racks with no side rails.......LOL

The best to me would have the most options, and be able to do the most. They are all machines, and will all break sooner or later.
The mules and Rangers were mentioned, both look awsome and might fit your needs. Then you could step up to a true amphibious ATV, like a Argo or Max. I think they are the only ATV' s that can float. We us eto have an 8x8 Argo with a 4 stroke outboard mounted on the back. I don' t know the specs or manny details, but it seams 8 wheels pulling could probably out pull any 4 wheeler out there. Pluss, keep you and you gear dry. They are slow though. Probably like 20mph topps.

Argos are very slow and extremely rough riding and their large size limits their manouverability in tight spots such as in dense trees..They also lack groung clearance .Their worst feature is that they require much more maintenance than conventional atv' s.

Well, I have lost some respect for my Yamaha grizzly, I had trouble with the idle and couldn' t get my Grizzly into gear, it only has 320 miles on it and it' s a 2000. It has been jetted for the elevation that I hunt, anyone have any trouble with their machine. Elk hunting was scary this year because of the problems that I had!
