I have a Summit Titan and a Viper SS and they are pretty nice. The Titan is big and comfortable and the Viper is alittle smaller and I think 3lbs lighter. My brother is getting a Titan after seeing mine. We are both around 6'2 and 300+lbs and the Titan is the best I have found for big guys.

I also have a Summit Viper SS and love it. Very light and very easy to use.

BTW, I deleted the duplicate of this thread you posted in the Hunting Gear section of the Classified forum. That forum is reserved for buying and selling stuff. This is the correct forum for questions like this.

I use a Lone Wolf Alpha hand climber. It's the lightest climber I could find, it has a 300# weight rating & it's ultra quiet. No creaking at all when I shift my weight around.

If you're over 210 then I say any of the Summits. If you weigh less than that, I would say the Lone Wolf sit-n-climb.

Check out www.equalizertreestands.com It's what I use. You stay level & can go higher than other climbers.

get the SUMMIT 180 MAX .its better than the TITAN because you can face the tree.new 180 MAX FOR 2010 HAS THE titan FLOOR.FACING TREE WHEN LEAVES COME OFF HIDES YOU .it also gives you a nice gun rest.like i use muzzleloader and rest it against the tree.
TITAN would be my next pick.no other stands are as comfortable to sit in than SUMMITS.
if light weight is most important thing for you then go with LW.but expect to pay 400 dollars vrs SUMMIT titan on sale tyd for 274.
summit vipers are no.1 seller BUT there top section is too tight for me with heavy hunting clothes on.

Default I recommend the most expensive tree stand

Just so, when you leave this tree stand, unattended in the woods, the poacher will have regrets he stole the first one.

I use the Cougar Claw self leveling climber. I have the cub prowler and really have no complaints. You can check it out here:

I use and prefer the Summit Viper. However Lone Wolf and Treewalker make excellent stands as well.
