i agree, the extra room is nice but every pound counts when packing in.

I bought a harness like this off ebay and put on my goliath, makes packing in alot easier

I'VE GOT A GOLIATH SS & A VIPER SS MAKE SURE YOU GET A LINEMAN'S CLIMBING BELT HUNTER SAFTY SYSTEM MAKES IT USE THIS TO STAY TIDE TO THE TREE AS YOU GO UP & DOWN. DONT WANT YOUR FIRST TIME TO BE YOUR LAST...

I HAVE A SUMMIT GOLIATH SS & A VIPER SS LOVE THEM BOTH I WILL JUST SAY THIS WHICH EVER 1 YOU GET TAKE TIME & LEARN TO CLIMB ON A TREE @ A PARK OR IN YOUR OR A FRIEND'S YARD, BEFOR YOU TAKE IT TO THE FIELD. ALSO MAKE SURE YOU BUY A HUNTER SAFTY SYSTEM CLIMB BELT, SO YOU CAN LEARN TO STAY TIDE TO THE TREE AS YOU GO UP OR DOWN. REMBER SAFTY FIRST. GOOD LUCK.......

get a ladder stand on wheels.
you know, you just gave me idea.

i think i could build a ladder stand that would operate off a battery to raise and lower it up a tree.

then as you said, put wheels on it,i used to use wheel chair wheels to haul mine into woods...just think, sproul ladder stand that could put it up in 2 minutes and take down in 2 minutes or so.

Awesome climber, I just bought one and used it for the first time this weekend & I loved it. Very sturdy and comfortable.
