So I am looking for a new set of camo clothing and wondering if anyone had any suggestions for me. I am looking for gear that I can use for turkey hunting, bowhunting, and rifle/muzzleloader hunting.

My biggest problem is that between turkey and bowhunting temps range from 30's to 60 degrees, and rifle/muzzleloader ranges from 30 to 0 degrees with high winds. Also I tend to hunt in steep terrian (Blackhead mtn in the Catskills) where I can be traveling up 2000 ft or more in a hour or so to get to my stand.

So really I am looking for a set of gear which is light enough to wear bow hunting and turkey hunting, but heavy enough when layered to withstand freezing temperatures and high wind, and that has closable pant/jacket vents to keep cool hiking to my stand.

I like the large pattern camos such as the predator patterns, and hate the mossy oaks as they are too dark for this area.

anyone have any ideas? Or am I lbarking up too big of a tree here?

X2, probably the best general purpose pattern ever conceived.

I love my ASAT 3D ghillie suit. Pants, top and face/head covering. It can be worn over any clothing depending on the weather. During bow season this year I had deer within 10yrds of me trying to figure out what the heck I was and then went back to feeding. It's like a personal blind. I hunt with a longbow and had no problem as long as I used a forearm protector to keep some of the fabric out of the way.

I'll be using it for turkey this year so we'll see

Throw my vote in for Cabelas Revolution Fleece uninsulted. It is lightweight enough to use during our early archery season (late September/October) and yet roomy enough to put layers on underneath for the late season. It is also waterproof, windproof, comfortable and does not collect burrs. My uninsulated set is in Cabelas Seclusion 3D as I find it most often matches the environment I hunt in (eastern PA hardwoods/thickets).

As far as patterns themselves go, I am eagerly awaiting seeing what the new Mossy Oak Treestand pattern looks like on clothing. I have seen it on a few of the new bows and it is definitely high contrast.

I got the "wolfskin" outfit from Gray Wolf. I needed something that I could layer easily. I needed it for bowhunting from 60 deg to 0 deg. It is light, tough, quiet, flexible, andwon't fade, I got it large enough to layer but it has tabs and draw strings that let you snug it up when you're wearing light clothing underneath. I got it in Pred. fall gray. I've been very pleased with it. I expect it's the last camo I'll ever need.
