I just got Ameristep's "Outhouse" pop-up blind.....wasn't really sure about the "Tangle Camo" pattern or in the size (6 & 1/2' height, 5 & 1/2' square base), but was impressed after using it a couple times. Second set-up got me within 100 yards of 4 does and 11 turkey...and within bow distance of 2 very meaty rabbits (although I had the '06 at the time ). None paid much attention to me at all. The window's (4 of them) are adjustable to fit your needs at the time....Best shots seem to be from a sitting position on a low seat, or on your knees. WalMart had the blinds clearanced out for $39.99, so I thought I'd try it out...glad I did. I'll be using it again.

It takes all of about 10 seconds to take it out of the backpack carrying case it comes in and then to let it just pop open. It comes with 6 tent like pegs for the 4 corners and front and back sides...as well as with tie-down cords if the wind is really whipping. Take down is about a minute...removing pegs, folding it up and putting it away in it's case. Ameristep's website shows how it works.

If your looking more for quality over low price we just got in the new Double Bull Import 5 models and I was very impressed. They offer all the advantages of the Double Bull ProStaff such as full size viewing windows, black backed Predator camo and a roof zipper and at $349 they're about $100 less than the ProStaff models. They've also added a couple features the ProStaff didn't have such as brush ties to add bruch or branches to help blend in and an inside pocket to hold calls or other small items. Comparing a Double Bull to an Ameristep is like comparing a Yugo to a Cadillac so I won't go there. Just remember when buying a blind to consider things like how it will hold up in high winds and inclimate weather and how many years will it last.In most cases and in the long run your usually better off choosing quality over price when looking for a product you want to last many seasons.

bear,
The first time... probably a minute or so. After you've done it in the yard a few times (or even in your living room)you'll get a better feel for it and after setting one up a few times you'll be setting it up in under 10 seconds. My first time probably took me at least a minute and I thought, man.. do I want to be struggling with this each time? After doing it a few times though it became really easy. Now... after using and selling them for a while... I'm sure I can be under 6 seconds. Take down is just as easy. A complete demonstration is on each hunting video that comes free with each blind. The videos are around an hour long and have loads of hunting action. All from the blinds.
Good Hunting!
