I have a 92 kaw. 300 4x4 that i bet has 10,000+ miles on it. i also have 2000 honda foreman s with 2400 miles. the honda is the best machine. the kawasaki always has something wrong. the honda not a problem!!!!!!
I ride with polaris, yamaha, suzuki and every brand except artic cat( nobody around here will own them cause they are pure junk)and bombardia(sp)
the honda is the best hands down. the down fall of the honda is that they don't have disc brakes, but high lifter is selling conversion kits for them.
But don't take my word for it go read other views from real people that know atv's at http://www.highlifter.com/.
Go to the mud hole and read all about them . see what is most popular.
Thats where i go to talk atv's!

I have a honda rancher, and love it, dont worry about the full time 4x4 with the rancher because the steering is so light that you dont even notice. power is not problem either, I towed a nice buck up a hill this year where no path existed, with a 160lb, deer a climber stand, gear bag, gun and 220 pounds of me without a whimper, all the while running over small trees.

i have a '97 Kodiak (Yamaha) - i have no complaints; use it primarily for cutting/hauling wood, snow plowing, and Adirondacks off road travel; it has good power - definitely not a speed demon; i have a winch that comes in handy
if i where to get a new one i would look for one with independent suspension all around - it makes the machines ride much more smoothly - makes a big difference; the automatic transmissions and push button 4wd also seem nice

any honda will do they all have power! the 300 fourtrax does better in the 4x4 option the foreman 400 is unstopable, the rancher is good the foreman 450's are great and with tons of power and my favorite the rubicon will do anything u want it to do. Go with a honda they last.

If your hunting the rocky mnt. go with as much power as you can get.
a 300 at 10500-13000 feet above sea level has no power to get you and a big elk out of the woods.trust me I have been there. Also go with a machine like a Polaris that has good suspenion so you won't flip it on the side of a mountain. Good luck on your choice. all the Atvs on the market are good but some are better then other in some areas.

go buy independent repair shops and ask questions. look at what comes in the most. so far the best have been honda and yamaha. the ones in for repairs the most has been polaris.
