Take a look at the Nissan Titans as well. Great power, lots of room, look good, and are another Japanese vehicle (read as likely to last longer). The old man bought a new one in '05 and it has been a great vehicle. Earlier this month he raced my uncle's '07 F-150 going down I-90 and flat out spanked him.

Or better yet- wait a few years until Nissan and Toyota release the full-size diesel-powered versions of their trucks. Talk about long lasting vehicles with power to spare! Seems like it would be worth the wait to me.

I agree with Toyota fans as well.. They just can't be beat. Like wyotimberghost said, wait a couple years until Toyota takes over the full size truck market as well. You'll be sure to find a truck with more power, better looks, and dependibility that GM couldn't come close to... If you're dead set on getting an Avalanche, then I guess I can't help you, lol..Good luck finding a truck.

I get a new one every other year. I love it, I can keep all of my hunting stuff locked up in the back and out of sight.

I do the same with my folding hard box cover on my pickup.Only I have more room with the 6-1/2' box.
