RE: ground max deluxe ground blind
Never heard of that one , but I gotta ask you why don't you consider a Double Bull T5 or the Matrix .
These are the best blinds on the market and well worth the money their construction will last a life time of hunting. BowhuntingWorld magazine 2007 readers choice awards voted the Double Bull Archery Blinds No. # 1. North American Hunting Club recomends this product very highly and so does The National Wild Turkey Federation. I suggested to you in a post you made not to long ago that there is a member of this site that sells these blinds in the classifieds. His name is gregholland and you can find him in the hunting gear section of the classifieds , he's an honest guy and alot of members here have bought blinds from him. Check him out I know he'll work with you on a payment plan , it wouldn't hurt to look and ask questions. |

RE: ground max deluxe ground blind
I have the ground max blind. I bought it on sale at bass pro for $60.00 or so. Its not the deluxe so its a bit smaller, I wish I had gotten the bigger one especially for bow hunting but I make it work. I really enjoy it! The first day I took it out a six point stood about 10 yards from me and didnt even seem to notice. I didnt even add any limbs or brush to conceal it even more. It does have a nice bow hanger mounted from the ceiling which is a really nice feature. I did make a few modifications to it. I bought some camo netting and put it across the large triangle windows. I dont shoot through it but I did cut two shooting lanes throught it and it seems to work great. Also I modified the bag a little since it is like the bag for most colapsable chairs. You fold them up and slid them down into the bad.....hopefully you know what im talking about. What i did is cut the stitchingall the way to the bottom and installed some metal feruls, like you typically see on tarps. That way I dont have to slide it out of the bag which is noisy. I just unlace my bag from around my blind and pop it up and im ready.
If you do get one work it through set up and tear down 10-15 times. It will also help quiet it down when popping it out.....oh yeah and the fabric on it is so much better than my other blind. My ameristep is made out of the tent material. The ground max is really thick and does not flap in the wind like my other blind. I know everyone swears by the double bull's and im not knocking them at all. I would love to own one, but it just out of my price range. The way I figure it if I bought a double bull I would have to work more and hunt less to pay for it...and that dosent make much sense to me. For the price I feel that the Ground max is the way to go. I hope this helps and sorry for rambling on and on. If you have anymore questions ill check back on this thread. Best of luck and happy hunting! |
RE: ground max deluxe ground blind
I have one and really like it. I also purchased it at Bass Pro. The prices in the store wasn't the same as the website price. I printed the cheaper web price and took it to the store and they honored it for me. Be sure to check first. As for the blind, it is very easy to set up and the size is really great. I used it all season and had several deer that came right up to me without any hesitation. I am going hunting tomorrow for the first time in a tree stand. Should be interesting.

:DLMAO , just call me pimp bull :D
Thanks for the offer Greg , I'll keep that in mind . My Double Bull T5 is holding up really good for using it for the past six years now. |
RE: ground max deluxe ground blind
It's amazing how long they hold up. You might think about getting into a Matrix sometime soon.

RE: ground max deluxe ground blind
I bought last year's Ground Max DX (deluxe) and used it primarily for turkey hunting last spring.I was quite impressed with the blind's design, construction and camo pattern. I did not get a bird but had several come within sight and not once did they give any indication that they knew I was there.
I had planned on using it for archery season this year but barely made it out enough times to use my treestand let alone the blind. I do have a few days left here in the late season and plan on using it at least once. I hope to post more then. I really do think it is an excellent blind for the price. |
RE: ground max deluxe ground blind
you knw what guys sorry for taking so long to rite bak its just that ive been really busy working to try to get another trip in the ranch to atleast get one tag cut from my license.....well anyways this past weekend i went to bass pro over here in san antonio and they just happened to have that deluxe blind so i bought it went home and read the directions ...after that i opened it up following the directions and it went up pretty easily ...doning it about 10 more times then i went inside of it and well it looked awesome but then as i started to look around i noticed that alot of the stiching holding the velcro for the shoot through mesh windows was coming off and the thick material connecting to the hubs was also coming off since i was aready at my ranch i still decided to use it ....noticing these problems...
1 zippers get stuck easily 2blinnd seemed to be lopsided 3 mesh windows didnt fit rite 4 zipper to go in and out wasnt goin down all the way just simple problems that i think can be fixed but why am i going to spend 160$ on something that does not work properly altough on the second day of using the bling i got within 10 yds of a spike that i had got on video a couple of days before ...........i had no idea he was coming and i think he had no idea that i was there.... that was the closest encounter i ever had while hunting if he would have just jumped the bobwire fence he would have been my first deer with my bow......well anyways now i have to make up my mind if i should return that one and get another one of the same kind or should i buy a better 200 dollar one...so can some one plz help me!!!!!!!!! |
RE: ground max deluxe ground blind
I hate to say it .... but ..... I told you so
Therenow thats out of the way ... you know if I said once ... I'll say it a thousand times .... You get what you pay for. If you had saved your money and talk to Gregholland like I suggested earler you could have been sitting in a good high quality Double Bull T5 or Matrix. You should try to send it back and get a refund. |
RE: ground max deluxe ground blind
Kidd,
It's always nice to get that close to a deer that never knows you are there. I still get that heart pumping adrenaline everytime a deer walks by and never knows I'm there. Congrats!! |
