Is it true Ol' man is out of business? If so how? I thought they're stands were really a good quality stand.

No, they are back!

They were out of business but they are back. I've had one of their stands for the last 7 yrs and it has always been great. I heard they had a recall on some of their stands from the teeth that dig into the tree breaking off or bending causing the stand to slip. They also got sued for over 1 million dollars. A guy died after he fell out of a stand and his harness that Ol Man supplied suffocated him. I would still buy another one. If you want to buy one you'll probably have to check online and see where you can buy one.
