Need help with Leaf River
I just bought a digital Leaf River IR and am trying to learn to operate it. Unfortunately, I am electronically handicapped. They can't make them too simple for me.
1) Once I turn the viewing screen off, I can't get it to come on again unless I turn the main power off and on again. Is this normal?
2) Is anyone changing the factory default settings? I would appreciate any input from the experiences of others.

You should be able to turn the viewing screen on again using the "Preview" button. Not sure why you should have to turn you're unit off and back on again.
I haven't changed any of the factory settings. Takes great pics.
The problem that I have had is that when I turn on my unit it just starts taking pictures every 2 minutes. Does the heat from the sun having anything to do with this? I have heard that it can if it catches too much sun.I have turned the sensitivity almost off and that hasn't helped. What doesn't make sense is that it doesn't take any pics at night, when I know there are some deer coming in to my feeder. Anybody ever have this problem? Thanks!

I had the same problem. Eventually, that didn't work and while the camera records taking images the thing powers off whenever I tried to preview them. After many maddening calls to customer support I took it back and got my money back. The competitors were all sold out, so I am not sure what I will go with next.

I had problems with mine, in that when I would turn the screen on, it would amidiatly turn off and not turn back on. I called customer support and they walked me right through it and had the problem fixed. What was bothersom is that to make it work is not how the directions told me to operate the camera. I think my next one will be a cuddie back.
