I cannot speak to the old man but I have used the API Bowhunter and was very satisfied with it up until I sold it to a buddy of mine.

OL MAN went out of businesson 9/21/05 becareful I have an old man climber from 2000 and I love it, I bought a spare that was made in 2004 that is made in china very much a lower quality stand and dont forget about the recall on the stands gripping teeth breaking off.
