I am looking to buy a rangefinder in the near future. I do tend to do alot of research before buying. In my research I have been told that Bushnell has been having quality issues, and that I should go with a Nikon. Of course I am looking in the $200.00 to $250.00 range. My question is, Has anyone else heard this? What would you suggest, and last but not least, am I over thinking this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This old horse has been beat to death. I've used a Nikon 800 for years and found it to be a terrific unit and as accurate as they come. It also has extra features you might find useful such as a discriminator for use in rain or snow. You're not likely to find a leica in your price range and you don't need to spend that kind of money to buy quality. Go with the Nikon. This is the first I've heard Bushnell is making products for Nikon. Not saying it's not true, but I'm really surprized when Nikon has such an extensive line of products.

I used to own a bushnell 800.I compared it to the nikon 800 and they appeared to be identical. It doesn't prove that both were made by the same company, but it sure is suspicious.
