Wanted: Bird dog training materials.

I have a 9mo. GSP, I have no clue on how to really train him, I'm new to the sport of hunting birds with a dog, I have taken him out a couple of times just for fun and to see what e can do. Within the first 10 min. to my suprise he was pointing at a woodcock. He made my day and now I'm hooked, if anyone could help me out with info. about training, I would greatly appreciate it.

Where are you located? I might be able to assist you in getting him trained, or might be able to suggest someone in your area that could assist you.

I take it your from Michigan?
If so you should check out the Michigan sportsman forum.
I know there are GSP trainers that post on it.
I am sure you'll find all the information you need there.
